Contented Critters Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit (EIN: 41-1835418, License: MN140872) located in Ely, Minnesota. Contented Critters is not a Walk-In Facility, we are by appointment only, Contented Critters has an application process as we believe it helps get pets in a right fit home, everyone must apply online if interested in meeting an animal.

The mission of Contented Critters is to advocate for critters in need! We help animals in need through rescue, spay & neuter, appropriate veterinary care, and adoption.

Our vision is to reduce the community need for pet rescue through preemptive measures, such as a spay and neuter program for pets in our care, and community outreach and education. Contented Critters loves to do Microchip & Toenail trimming Clinics, Pet Food shelves, Animal visits to senior centers and more! Let us know if you'd like to host us for a community event!

A majority of our animals that come to us is cats and dogs; however we do not discriminate. Contented Critters is open to helping ANY type of animal. All of our dogs and cats are Fully Vetted & Fixed (if appropriate age) then posted for adoption. Contented Critters also has a Farm Sanctuary portion, these animals may have a health issues. hospice, or considered underdogs. They live out their days full of love and top-notch care. We have a steer named Louie, he came to us with a neurological disorder, Eleanor the pig, she is almost 600 POUNDS and more! We LOVE saving Critters and helping in any way we can. We also love sharing our animals with the community and sharing the joy they bring us! Contact us
