This week we were standing at just under $1000 when a donation came in the mail for $100! All you great animal lovers out there did it! As promised, $1000 of donations will be matched by an anonymous benefactor, which means we've brought in over $2000 in under a month!
Thank you for all your generosity! We heavily rely on fundraising like this to keep our doors open and the pets safe. We're not fortunate enough to be sponsored by a local municipality like other shelters, so donations like yours are very important to us.
Moving forward, donations (and hopefully some grants) will be needed not just for the animals, but also for improvements to the property so we can make our sanctuary as comfortable and enriching as possible for the pets. We'll be looking at refinishing the walls in the Dog House, sealing the floors, upgrading our HVAC (this is a big one!), and expanding the dog runs outside, all before next winter.
